“The biggest benefit is to raise money for the Greene County 100 Club,” says Captain Eric Reece, of the Springfield Police Department. “The organization provides immediate money to first responder families immediately after a death. Families need help with mortgage, funeral expenses, etc., and insurance/pension benefits often take awhile to start paying out. It has always been my goal to raise enough money through the charity game to cover one payout to a family.”
