For some time, I had been watching with anticipation a large lipstick pepper turn from green to red. Within a few days of full color, all that was left in its space on the plant was the top and stem. Poof. Poof and it was gone. I ruled out squirrels because they don’t seem to fancy my peppers. Chipmunk? The pepper was the size of a chipmunk. A day or two later, I noticed a mom rabbit visiting her bunny early in the morning. The lipstick pepper hung over the side of the garden box, perfect placement for a family of thieves. This afternoon, I eyed one of the culprits eating a shishito pepper. Mom rabbit is teaching the little one badddd habits. Silly, Rabbit, peppers are for me.
